President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian medical professionals in the diaspora to return home and contribute to national development, pledging improved conditions under his Renewed Hope agenda.

Speaking while receiving members of Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations at the State House, Abuja, the President commended their commitment to humanity and willingness to support Nigeria’s healthcare system.

Tinubu said their global exposure places them in a strong position to help tackle poverty, underdevelopment, and gaps in the health sector, stressing that his administration is focused on creating a better environment for professionals to thrive.

Drawing from his personal experience abroad, the President noted that returning home to contribute to national growth remains the most impactful choice, adding that Nigeria must harness the expertise of its citizens for sustainable development.

He also directed Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, to send letters of appreciation to the visiting professionals, while tasking Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sunday Dare, to coordinate further engagement and facilitate continued interaction with the Presidency.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s determination to fight poverty, strengthen stability, and build a prosperous nation where Nigerians at home and abroad can contribute meaningfully to the country’s future.
