Kogi, Renewed Hope

As part of the Renewed Hope National Media Tour, the delegation visited the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State, to assess the remarkable progress made in developing one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing science and technology universities.

The visit highlighted the significant investments made by both the Federal Government and the Kogi State Government in expanding access to quality higher education, strengthening research, and providing modern learning facilities.

The Federal Government interventions through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) inspected during the tour include:

* Faculty of Science Complex
* Faculty of Environmental Sciences Complex
* Faculty of Management and Social Sciences Complex
* 2025 TETFund Special Intervention (Renewed Hope Initiative) – Female Hostel
* TETFund Project Maintenance Intervention
* Academic and research support through TETFund interventions

The Kogi State Government projects inspected include:

* Faculty of Engineering Complex
* College of Medical Sciences
* Central Administrative Building
* Central Library Complex
* Computing and Informatics Complex
* Student hostels
* Lecture theatres
* Modern laboratories and workshops
* Internal road network
* Water supply and power infrastructure
* Campus landscaping and supporting infrastructure

The inspection demonstrated how the combined investments of the Federal Government and the Kogi State Government have transformed CUSTECH into a modern university with state-of-the-art academic and research facilities.

Today, the university is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing science and technology institutions, positioning itself as a centre of excellence for innovation, scientific research, and technological advancement in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
