FG Unveils Judges’ Quarters, Pushes Judicial Reform Drive

The Federal Government has unveiled new residential quarters for judges as part of a broader push to improve the justice system and strengthen judicial independence in Nigeria. Officials say the project is designed to improve welfare, security, and working conditions for members of the judiciary.

Speaking at the commissioning, government representatives described the initiative as a key pillar in ongoing judicial reforms aimed at restoring public confidence in the courts. They noted that better living conditions for judges would reduce exposure to external pressures and enhance the integrity of judicial processes.

The housing facility includes modern residential units, basic amenities, and enhanced security infrastructure tailored for judicial officers. Authorities explained that the project is part of a phased national programme that will extend similar infrastructure to other states.
