President Bola Tinubu has declared that his administration’s ongoing reforms are repositioning Nigeria for greater global recognition, saying recent economic and governance initiatives are enhancing the country’s international reputation and attracting renewed confidence from investors and development partners.

Speaking at the State House while receiving members of the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations Worldwide, the President said the Renewed Hope Agenda was producing tangible results across key sectors, including healthcare, infrastructure and economic development.

Tinubu noted that Nigeria was gradually rebuilding institutions and strengthening public services through reforms designed to improve efficiency, transparency and long-term growth.

He said healthcare remains one of the administration’s priority sectors, pointing to ongoing investments in primary healthcare, expanded medical infrastructure and increased collaboration with Nigerian professionals abroad.

The President urged Nigerians in the diaspora to become active participants in the country’s transformation by contributing their knowledge, skills and experience to national development.

According to him, many of the country’s brightest professionals have excelled internationally and now possess expertise that can accelerate progress at home.

Tinubu said his administration is committed to creating an enabling environment where professionals can thrive while contributing meaningfully to nation-building.

He stressed that reforms often require patience and sacrifice but insisted they were laying the foundation for sustainable prosperity and stronger institutions.

The President commended diaspora medical practitioners who had returned to organise medical missions across various states, describing their efforts as evidence that Nigerians abroad still maintain strong ties with their homeland.

Government officials at the meeting said the collaboration between the diaspora community and the health sector demonstrates increasing confidence in ongoing reforms.

The President also reiterated his administration’s determination to improve service delivery and ensure that the benefits of development reach citizens across the federation.

Political observers say the government’s engagement with diaspora professionals reflects a broader strategy of leveraging Nigerian expertise worldwide to accelerate national development and improve the country’s global competitiveness.

The administration has repeatedly maintained that reforms currently being implemented are aimed at positioning Nigeria as a stronger economy capable of competing internationally while delivering improved opportunities for its citizens.
