Tinubu, Eid-el-Kabir

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace sacrifice, unity, and compassion as Muslims across the country and the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, assuring citizens that ongoing reforms are beginning to yield positive results.

In his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message, the President extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful, describing the festival as a reminder of the enduring virtues of faith, obedience, and selflessness exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim. He urged Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, to reflect on these values and promote peaceful coexistence.

Tinubu emphasized that the nation is on a path of “reconstruction and renewal,” acknowledging that while recent reforms have been difficult, they are necessary to secure a more prosperous future. According to him, the sacrifices made by Nigerians and his administration over the past three years have contributed to a more stable economy and positioned Nigeria as an attractive destination for investment, job creation, and growth.

“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” he stated, expressing confidence that ongoing policies will continue to improve security and expand opportunities for citizens.

Addressing security concerns, the President reassured Nigerians that his government remains committed to defeating terrorism and banditry. He noted recent gains by security agencies, including the elimination of a wanted ISIS leader, but admitted that attacks persist in some communities. He pledged that affected citizens would not be abandoned and vowed that all threats to national peace would be overcome.

Tinubu also urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s peace, stability, and leadership wisdom, while encouraging citizens to show kindness to the less privileged and strengthen communal bonds.
