The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Mr. Sunday Dare, on Tuesday visited the rescued pupils and teachers who were abducted in the Yawota and Esinle communities of Oyo State, assuring them of the Federal Government’s continued commitment to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians.

Mr. Dare visited the victims at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, where they are receiving medical care following their rescue from captivity. He was led around to see the patients by the CMD of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Prof. Olawale Olakulehin.

Speaking during the visit, the Presidential Spokesperson sympathised with the pupils, teachers and their families over the traumatic ordeal they endured, describing the incident as unfortunate. He wished the victims a speedy recovery and commended the efforts of the security agencies whose operations led to their rescue.

He reiterated that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains resolute in its determination to improve security across the country, stressing that every Nigerian deserves to live, work and learn in a safe and secure environment.

As a gesture of compassion, Dare also provided personal financial support to each of the 44 rescued pupils and teachers receiving treatment at the hospital, encouraging them to remain strong as they continue their recovery.

He further assured the victims that the Federal Government would continue to strengthen the nation’s security architecture and implement measures aimed at preventing a recurrence of such incidents.
