Wike Dismisses NBA Criticism, Defends Judges’ Housing

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed criticisms from the Nigerian Bar Association over the construction of houses for judges, insisting the project is necessary to strengthen the judiciary.

The NBA had raised concerns over priorities and transparency, but the minister maintained that the initiative aligns with efforts to improve working conditions for judges in the Federal Capital Territory.

He emphasised that the project is part of broader reforms aimed at enhancing institutional capacity and supporting the rule of law.
