Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has praised the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Lagos State, describing the exercise as peaceful, fair and well-organised.
Gbajabiamila made the remarks after observing parts of the process, noting that party officials adhered to established guidelines. He commended stakeholders for maintaining discipline and ensuring transparency.
Party members participated in the primary to select candidates for upcoming elections, with officials emphasising the importance of unity and internal democracy. Observers reported minimal disruptions during the exercise.

Gbajabiamila said the orderly conduct of the primary reflects the party’s commitment to democratic principles. “This is how internal party processes should be conducted,” he stated.
Some aspirants, however, raised concerns over alleged irregularities in certain areas, though these claims have not been officially verified.
The APC leadership in Lagos has called on members to support the eventual candidates, stressing the need for cohesion ahead of the general elections.
