Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga has defended the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that it has transformed Nigeria and restored public confidence in governance.

Speaking during a media briefing, Onanuga highlighted key reforms, including fiscal restructuring, subsidy removal, and infrastructure investments, which he said are laying the foundation for long-term economic stability.

He acknowledged the short-term challenges faced by Nigerians, particularly rising living costs, but insisted that the policies are necessary to correct structural imbalances in the economy.

Onanuga pointed to improvements in revenue generation, foreign investment inflows, and ongoing infrastructure projects as evidence of progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Critics, however, argue that the impact of the reforms has yet to translate into tangible relief for many citizens. Opposition figures have called for more targeted social interventions to cushion economic pressures.

Economic analysts remain divided, with some praising the boldness of the reforms while others warn of the need for careful implementation to avoid widening inequality.

The presidency maintains that the reforms will yield positive results over time, urging Nigerians to remain patient as the government continues to implement its policies.

As political discourse intensifies ahead of future elections, the administration’s performance is expected to remain a central issue in national debates.
