Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates were formally hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to celebrate their latest Super Lig triumph.

The reception took place at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, where the entire squad, dressed impeccably in formal suits, exchanged handshakes and pleasantries with the president.

During the visit, Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek presented a customized club jersey to President Erdogan as a token of appreciation.

Galatasaray recently extended their dominance in Turkish football, securing their 26th league title by finishing three points ahead of their closest rivals, Fenerbahce. Osimhen played a pivotal role in this successful campaign.

The Nigerian forward netted 15 league goals and provided five assists across 22 domestic appearances. His impressive form extended to the UEFA Champions League, where he registered seven goals and three assists in 10 matches before the Turkish giants were knocked out by Liverpool in the round of 16.

Since joining the Turkish powerhouse, the 27 year old striker has enjoyed a highly successful spell, securing three titles with the club. If Galatasaray manages to retain the Super Lig title next season, they will make history as the first club in Turkish football to win five consecutive league championships.

Following his stellar performances, Osimhen has attracted significant attention from top European clubs. He is currently linked with potential transfers to football heavyweights such as Chelsea, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.

However, the Galatasaray management maintains a firm stance on keeping their star forward for the upcoming season.
