President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address Nigerians on Friday, June 12, as part of activities marking Democracy Day, according to a State House press release issued Thursday.
The nationwide broadcast is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. and will be transmitted on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
All television and radio stations across the country have been directed to link up with the official broadcast to ensure widespread coverage of the President’s message.
The annual Democracy Day commemorates Nigeria’s return to civilian rule and honours the sacrifices made in the struggle for democratic governance.
The announcement was signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on June 11, 2026.
