The City Boy Movement has intensified its grassroots mobilization efforts in Delta State, expanding its reach across communities in a bid to strengthen political engagement and support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
At a series of town hall meetings and community outreaches, leaders of the movement engaged residents on government policies, achievements, and ongoing reforms. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between the federal government and grassroots populations.
Organizers said the movement is focused on creating awareness about economic reforms and encouraging citizen participation in governance. They emphasized the importance of grassroots support in sustaining national development initiatives.
Community leaders and youth groups participated actively in the engagements, raising concerns about employment, infrastructure, and cost of living. Representatives of the movement assured residents that their feedback would be communicated to relevant authorities.

The outreach also included empowerment programs such as vocational training and small business support, targeting youths and women. Beneficiaries expressed appreciation, noting that such initiatives could help alleviate economic hardship.
Political analysts view the expansion of the movement as a strategic effort to consolidate support ahead of future political contests. They note that grassroots engagement remains a critical factor in Nigeria’s political landscape.
However, some observers cautioned that sustained impact would depend on tangible improvements in living conditions. They urged the movement to focus on delivering measurable outcomes rather than mere political messaging.
The Delta chapter of the movement pledged to continue its engagements, with plans to extend activities to rural communities. Organizers said the goal is to ensure that government policies are understood and felt at the local level.
