According to the commissioner, the PMOD consultant will not only oversee project management and design but also coordinate stakeholders, support implementation and ensure the successful delivery of the initiative.
He stressed that collaboration among the Lagos State Government, development partners, consultants, contractors and host communities would be essential to the project’s success.
Osiyemi also commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to sustainable urban mobility and appreciated the continued support of the French Development Agency (AFD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Union (EU) for the project.
He further praised the Omi Eko Project Team, the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) and other stakeholders for their dedication in advancing the initiative.
Speaking on behalf of the PMOD consultancy team, the Head of Delegation and Director of the International Unit at Planet SA, Dimitris Galanis, reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to delivering the project in line with global best practices.
