- Davido Associate Ego Dies Afte ...

Popular Davido associate and British-Nigerian businessman, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, has died following complications from a penis enlargement procedure he underwent in Thailand.
Ego, 43, reportedly travelled to Thailand in March 2026 with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, as part of a luxury vacation before undergoing the procedure at an unnamed clinic.
According to a report by TMZ, an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court heard details of the medical procedure and the events that preceded his death.
The court was told that about 40 millilitres of a combination of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into Ego’s penis during the enlargement procedure.
Hyaluronic acid is commonly used in cosmetic procedures, while lidocaine is a local anaesthetic used to numb an area of the body.
Following the procedure, Ego and his wife stayed at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok. However, his condition reportedly deteriorated after he began experiencing chest pain.
He was subsequently rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital after reportedly losing consciousness twice.
The circumstances surrounding the medical emergency and the exact sequence of events leading to his death were presented during the London inquest.
Ego was known within Nigerian entertainment circles for his association with Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido. He also built a public profile as a businessman and influencer, with his lifestyle and relationship with prominent figures attracting attention online.

His death has reportedly shocked friends and associates, particularly because it followed what had been intended as a luxury holiday abroad.
The case has also drawn attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic and enhancement procedures, particularly when complications occur away from a patient’s home country.
Details from the coroner’s proceedings are expected to shed further light on Ego’s medical condition, the treatment he received and the circumstances surrounding his death.
The 43-year-old’s passing adds to a growing conversation around the risks associated with elective cosmetic procedures and the importance of medical supervision when complications arise.
Authorities and medical professionals continue to stress the need for individuals considering cosmetic procedures to understand the potential risks and ensure that treatments are carried out by appropriately qualified practitioners in properly regulated facilities.
