The rescheduling places renewed attention on the APC’s internal preparations in Kebbi State as political parties organise their nomination processes and mobilise members ahead of future elections.
Primary elections are a key stage in Nigeria’s electoral process, allowing political parties to determine the candidates who will represent them in general elections. The conduct of such exercises can also shape party unity, grassroots mobilisation and relations among aspirants and supporters.
For the Argungu/Augie constituency, the exercise will involve party structures across the two local government areas, with voting activities scheduled to take place in the 21 wards identified in the announcement.
The party’s leadership will be expected to ensure that the process follows the applicable guidelines and provides eligible participants with an opportunity to take part in selecting the candidate.
The announcement did not provide details on the reason for the rescheduling or indicate whether any other arrangements for the primary election had been changed.
Party members and stakeholders are therefore expected to rely on official communications from the APC leadership in Kebbi State for further information regarding the exercise.
The revised timetable comes as political activities continue to develop across the country, with party organisations working to coordinate internal processes and prepare for upcoming electoral contests.
The APC has urged its members to observe the new date and commencement time as preparations continue for the Argungu/Augie Federal Constituency primary election.
