Forland Motors, a global manufacturer of light commercial trucks, has completed a specialised three-day technical training programme in partnership with its Nigerian assembler and distributor, Transit Support Services Ltd (TSS Motors).
The training was designed to equip TSS technical personnel, including assembly and after-sales technicians, with advanced knowledge of Forland light trucks assembled and distributed in Nigeria.
The programme focused on truck assembly, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer support standards.
The event held at the TSS Motors Training Centre in Lagos, the programme attracted technical experts from Forland in China, alongside TSS personnel from Lagos, Enugu, and Abuja.

Technical representatives from Yuchai, a leading Chinese manufacturer of powertrain solutions and major engine supplier to Forland trucks, also participated in the exercise.
Speaking on the significance of the training, the Head of After-Sales Services at TSS, Mrs. Phebian Iwalokun, explained that the programme covered preventive maintenance, engine servicing, and general truck maintenance procedures.
She noted that the initiative was necessary to prepare TSS technicians for the growing presence of Forland trucks in Nigeria and the company’s planned expansion in production capacity.
According to Iwalokun, over 1,000 Forland trucks are currently operating across Nigeria, serving fast-moving consumer goods companies, logistics operators, and last-mile delivery businesses.
Transit Support Services, a subsidiary of ABC Transport Plc, assembles Forland trucks at its production facility in Enugu and continues to provide technical support services to customers nationwide.
Forland has built a strong reputation globally in the commercial vehicle segment, with its light trucks widely used across several international markets.
