Bursaspor President Enes Çelik has revealed that the Turkish club will only consider selling Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho if they receive an extraordinary transfer offer.

Çelik acknowledged the 30-year-old forward’s pivotal role in the squad following reported interest from Turkish Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe. Speaking to local media on Saturday, October 31, 2026, the club president explained that while management prefers to retain the Nigerian international, extraordinary financial offers must be evaluated rationally in the best interest of the club.

“If a poll were conducted, 99% would say he absolutely shouldn’t be sold. I understand that, but we’re not just looking at it emotionally,” Çelik stated. “Iheanacho is a player who scores goals when there’s no real chance. I want him to stay in the team more than anyone, but there might be some absurd figures involved. If there are, we, as the management, will evaluate them.”

The Nigerian striker has made an immediate impact since joining Bursaspor in July 2026, recording 16 goals and three assists in 12 league matches. Including his international strike for Nigeria against Russia, Iheanacho has scored 17 goals in 13 total appearances across all competitions this season.

Although Çelik declined to specify a buyout clause or asking price, he maintained that any potential transaction would require a fee capable of satisfying both management and supporters.
