Abuja Transformation on Track as Tinubu Unveils N5 Corridor

President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the Federal Capital Territory with the unveiling of the N5 Corridor, a major infrastructure project designed to improve connectivity and support economic growth in Abuja.

The president, represented by senior government officials at the commissioning ceremony, described the corridor as a critical component of the administration’s broader urban renewal agenda. He said the project reflects the government’s determination to provide modern infrastructure capable of supporting population growth and attracting investment.

The N5 Corridor links several developing districts within the capital city and is expected to significantly reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, and improve access to residential and commercial areas. Officials noted that the project will also stimulate economic activities by opening new areas for development.

According to Wike, the N5 Corridor is expected to improve mobility for residents while enhancing access to business hubs and government institutions. He said the project aligns with the FCT Administration’s vision of creating a more efficient and globally competitive capital city.

Residents and business owners in affected districts welcomed the development, expressing optimism that improved road infrastructure would boost economic activities and reduce transportation costs.
