Trabzonspor has become the first club to submit an official offer for Super Eagles forward Tolu Arokodare.
The Turkish Super Lig side tabled a formal loan proposal to Wolverhampton Wanderers as they look to strengthen their attacking lineup ahead of the new campaign.
The Turkish club tracked the Nigerian striker for several weeks before taking this concrete step. Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan shared insights on the transfer strategy and stated, “Trabzonspor see the 24 year old as a possible replacement for fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu, should he leave the club this summer.”
Uzundurukan added that a deal will not be straightforward because Arokodare remains under a long term contract at Molineux.

Arokodare attracted significant interest after Wolves suffered relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.
The relegation ended an eight year spell in the English top flight for the team. The club is currently rebuilding under new coach Cesar Peixoto, who recently replaced Rob Edwards.
To target an immediate return to the Premier League, Wolves have already brought in experienced names such as Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez.
The Nigerian striker joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk in the summer of 2025 on a four year contract with an option for an additional year.
He endured a difficult first season in England and made 33 Premier League appearances, with only 13 of those as starts.
Trabzonspor now faces heavy competition from fellow Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahce for his signature. Besiktas reportedly had a €15m verbal offer rejected by Wolves.
Reports suggest Besiktas even sought the help of former Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi and Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to convince Arokodare that a move to Turkey would suit his career.
Wolves reportedly prefer a permanent sale rather than a loan agreement. The English club hopes to recoup a large portion of the £24m they initially paid to sign Arokodare from Genk.
However, his high valuation makes a full transfer difficult for interested suitors. This financial reality leaves a temporary loan move back to continental Europe as the most realistic option.
Because the striker still has three years remaining on his contract, Wolves face no pressure to accept the proposal from Trabzonspor.
The coming weeks will prove crucial as the three Turkish clubs continue their efforts to convince both the English club and the player before the new season begins.
