Yoruba Nollywood actress Tayo Odueke, popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, has expressed regret over publicly revealing her past romantic relationship with National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) figure, Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo.

The actress made the disclosure during an interview with Oyinmomo TV on YouTube, where she reflected on the decision to take her relationship into the public domain.

Sindodo admitted that she now believes some relationships are better kept private, saying she envies colleagues who successfully kept their personal affairs away from public scrutiny.

Asked about the circumstances that led to the end of her relationship with MC Oluomo, the actress declined to provide details, describing the matter as a long story.

“It’s a long story, and I’d rather not go into it,” she said.

However, she was more forthcoming about her decision to announce the relationship publicly, saying she now considers it unnecessary.

According to the actress, she initially saw no reason to hide the relationship because she believed people would eventually know about it if they got married.

She explained that her decision was also influenced by the way MC Oluomo treated her during their relationship.

“Normal, if you’re married to someone, people will eventually know. Back then, I didn’t care and I didn’t see any reason to hide it,” she said.

Sindodo, however, acknowledged that her perspective has changed with time.

“Sometimes, it’s better to keep things private. I envy my colleagues who kept their affairs out of the public eye. I regret announcing my relationship with Alhaji MC Oluomo. It wasn’t worth it,” she said.

The actress further defended her former partner, describing him as a kind-hearted person who treated her well.

She said his treatment of her was one of the reasons she felt comfortable publicly identifying him as her partner at the time.

“He was very good to me and treated me well, which is why I published his name. But I shouldn’t have,” she added.

Sindodo’s comments highlight the challenges celebrities often face when their private relationships become subjects of public interest.

The actress has maintained a prominent presence in the Yoruba movie industry, while her past relationship with MC Oluomo attracted considerable attention from fans and social media users.

Her latest remarks suggest that she has since adopted a more private approach to her personal life, particularly regarding romantic relationships.
