- Tope Osoba’s Lover Arrested ...

Prophet Itunu Onadeko, fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, has reportedly been arrested by the police over allegations surrounding the circumstances of the actress’ death.
The development adds a fresh twist to the controversy surrounding the 40-year-old actress, whose death on August 5 triggered calls from colleagues, friends and members of the public for a thorough investigation.
Reports indicate that Onadeko was taken into police custody on Tuesday, August 18, alongside a hairdresser identified as someone who had been accommodating the actress before her death. The development was disclosed publicly on Sunday by Akeem, an associate of the late actress, who said the suspects were being detained as investigations continued.
The arrest followed mounting questions over what happened to Osoba in the final days of her life, with some of her friends and associates publicly making allegations against people close to her.

The allegations have not been established in court, and the arrest does not amount to a declaration of guilt.
Onadeko had previously rejected claims that he or members of his family mistreated the actress. In an interview with the Celestial Reality Check, the media investigative unit of the Celestial Church of Christ, he also disputed reports that Osoba died from cancer-related complications or poisoning.
According to the prophet, he was informed around midnight by an unidentified caller that Osoba had died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos. He said he did not know the particular station but subsequently reported himself at a nearby police station.
His account came amid conflicting claims about the actress’ final hours and intensified demands for authorities to establish the actual circumstances surrounding her death.
The Celestial Church of Christ had earlier announced that it was investigating the controversy surrounding Osoba’s death and the alleged involvement of Onadeko. The church said it would cooperate with law enforcement agencies and that anyone found culpable should face appropriate sanctions.
Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi had also called for a proper investigation before the actress was buried, arguing that an autopsy could help establish the cause and circumstances of her death.
The latest arrest is therefore expected to form part of a broader police investigation aimed at resolving the competing accounts surrounding Osoba’s death.
Authorities are expected to establish what happened to the actress before her death and determine whether any individual bears criminal responsibility.
Until investigators release their findings, allegations made by either side remain unproven.
