Abideen’s clinical finishing and attacking presence highlighted a dominant outing for the Ankara-based side, who showed their championship quality from the opening whistle.
Fomget wasted no time asserting their superiority, storming into a five-goal lead within the first 45 minutes. The early breakthrough came in the 7th minute through Basak Icinozbebek, who capitalised on a defensive mix-up to put the champions ahead. Thirteen minutes later, Arzu Karabulut doubled the lead with a composed finish, tightening Fomget’s grip on the match and forcing Unye Kadin into early defensive retreat.
The goals kept flowing as Ukrainian forward Olha Ovdiychuk struck in the 29th minute, firing home a well-placed effort to make it 3–0. Barely two minutes later, Abideen opened her account for the day with a sharp finish, extending the lead to four and showcasing her excellent positioning in the box. Karabulut added her second goal in the 36th minute, ensuring Fomget went into the halftime break with a commanding 5–0 advantage.
The second half followed a similar script, with Fomget maintaining full control of possession and dictating the tempo. Abideen grabbed her second goal of the match shortly after the restart, capping off a swift team move and underlining her growing influence in the Turkish top flight. The Nigerian forward has been in impressive form this season, and her latest brace further cements her role as one of Fomget’s key attacking threats.
Fomget continued to pile on the pressure as the minutes ticked down, adding two more goals to complete the 8–0 rout. Unye Kadin struggled to cope with the relentless wave of attacks, managing only a handful of attempts that posed little threat to the champions’ defence. The emphatic victory also strengthens Fomget’s position in the league standings, boosting their confidence as they push to defend their title.
With Abideen’s commanding display and the team’s seamless execution, Fomget GSK once again demonstrated why they remain one of the most formidable sides in Turkish women’s football.
