Edo State Governorship Election: A Glimpse into the Future

In a historic moment that will shape the future of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the governorship election.
As the clock struck 9:27 pm on Sunday, Prof Faruk Kuta, INEC’s Returning Officer, declared Okpebholo the winner, having satisfied the legal requirements.
With a sweeping victory in over 10 local government areas, Okpebholo secured 291,667 votes, surpassing Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, who garnered 247,655 votes. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party came third with 22,763 votes.
This pivotal moment sets the stage for Okpebholo’s leadership, poised to shape Edo State’s destiny.
