- Kunle Afod Says He Would Rathe ...

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has declared that he would rather lose his wife or anyone else than abandon his acting career, stressing that nothing would make him give up the profession he has dedicated much of his life to.
Afod made the remarks while speaking about his commitment to the entertainment industry, explaining that his passion for acting has remained stronger than personal considerations.
The actor disclosed that he rejected an opportunity to relocate abroad several years ago because he was determined to continue pursuing his career in Nigeria.
According to him, moving abroad would have meant leaving behind the profession he had worked hard to establish, a decision he was unwilling to make despite the potential opportunities that relocation could offer.
Afod maintained that his career remains a major priority and insisted that nobody could stand in his way or prevent him from pursuing his ambitions in the entertainment industry.
He also made controversial remarks about his relationship with his children, claiming that he sometimes goes as long as six months without communicating with them because of his commitments.
His comments have drawn attention to the demands of his profession and the extent to which he is prepared to prioritise his career over family relationships.
The actor’s position has also raised questions about the balance between professional ambitions and family responsibilities, particularly for entertainers whose careers often require extensive travel, filming schedules and public engagements.
Afod, who has established himself in the Yoruba movie industry, is known for his work as an actor, filmmaker and producer.
Over the years, he has featured in several Yoruba-language productions and built a reputation within the Nigerian entertainment industry.

His latest remarks have generated conversations about the sacrifices people make in pursuing their professional ambitions and whether success in a chosen career should come at the expense of important personal relationships.
While some may interpret his position as an expression of professional dedication, others could view his comments as highlighting the need for a healthier balance between career commitments and family life.
Afod, however, maintained that his determination to remain in acting is unwavering, making it clear that he has no intention of abandoning the profession for anyone.
