The announcement provides details of the arrangements for friends, colleagues, members of the entertainment industry and admirers to pay their last respects to the actor.

Duru was a familiar face in Nigeria’s film industry, where he earned recognition for his performances across television and movie productions.

His career spanned several years, during which he became associated with roles that demonstrated his versatility and commitment to the development of Nollywood.

The actor’s contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry earned him a place among performers whose work helped shape the country’s modern film culture.

His death generated reactions across the entertainment community, with colleagues and fans expressing sadness over the loss and recalling his contributions to the industry.

The service of songs scheduled for November 25 in Abuja is expected to provide an opportunity for family members, friends and professional associates to celebrate his life through prayers, tributes and reflections on his career.

The final burial scheduled for December 11 will take place in Imo State, where family members and other mourners are expected to gather for the concluding funeral activities.

The choice of Abuja for the service of songs is expected to make participation easier for colleagues and associates based in the Federal Capital Territory, while the burial in Imo State will allow the family to observe the final rites in their home state.

Duru’s passing represents another loss for Nollywood, an industry that has continued to mourn several of its established performers in recent years.

Beyond his screen appearances, veteran actors have played important roles in building the foundations of Nigeria’s film industry, helping to create opportunities for younger performers and contributing to the expansion of local productions.

The funeral arrangements are expected to bring together members of the creative community to celebrate Duru’s legacy and offer support to his family.

As preparations continue, admirers are expected to remember the actor for his performances, professional contributions and years of service to Nigerian entertainment.
