The countdown has begun for the 11th edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), with organisers set to kick off the popular reality television show on Sunday, July 26, 2026, promising a fresh cast of housemates, new twists and the biggest prize in the show’s history.

The highly anticipated season will see a new group of contestants move into Biggie’s house, where they will compete for a grand prize worth ₦160 million over a 10-week period while entertaining millions of viewers across Nigeria and other African countries.

The premiere is scheduled for 7 p.m. West Africa Time, when audiences will be introduced to the housemates selected through the audition process. The launch is expected to mark the beginning of another season filled with competition, friendships, romance, strategic alliances, conflicts and weekly evictions.

One of the major highlights of Season 11 is the record-breaking prize package, which surpasses rewards offered in previous editions. Organisers believe the increased prize money will intensify competition among the contestants as they battle for public support and survival inside the house.

Returning to host the show is media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, whose stylish appearances, live interviews and interactions with housemates have become a defining feature of the BBNaija franchise. A former contestant himself, Ebuka has anchored the reality show for several seasons and remains one of its most recognisable faces.

The housemates are expected to come from diverse backgrounds, professions and regions of the country, bringing different personalities and perspectives into the competition. Their interactions are expected to produce the mix of entertainment that has made BBNaija one of Africa’s most-watched television programmes.

Throughout the season, contestants will participate in Head of House challenges, Arena Games, diary sessions, sponsored tasks and the popular Saturday night parties. Weekly nominations and live eviction shows will continue to determine who remains in the race for the grand prize, while organisers have hinted at new twists that could alter the direction of the game.

Viewers will once again play a decisive role in the competition through weekly voting. Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will be able to vote for their favourite housemates using the MyDStv and MyGOtv applications after each nomination round.

Fans can follow the programme on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, while a dedicated 24-hour channel will provide uninterrupted live coverage from Biggie’s house. The show will also be available via DStv Stream and GOtv Stream for subscribers.

Beyond television, BBNaija is expected to dominate social media, where fans traditionally rally behind their favourite contestants through hashtags, memes and online campaigns. Every season generates widespread conversations about relationships, strategies and controversial moments inside the house.

Since its revival in 2017, BBNaija has produced several entertainment stars, with many former contestants building successful careers in acting, music, business, fashion and digital content creation.

With a record ₦160 million at stake, a new crop of housemates and promises of unexpected twists, expectations are high that Season 11 will deliver another memorable chapter in Nigeria’s biggest reality television show. All eyes will now be on Biggie’s house as viewers await the personalities who will capture the nation’s attention over the next 10 weeks.
