President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially launched the Renewed Hope Enterprise Bridge Initiative, a platform aimed at strengthening dialogue between the government and Nigeria’s entrepreneurs.

The launch took place on Thursday at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, alongside the unveiling of the initiative’s dedicated website.

Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, President Tinubu highlighted the gap between policymakers and entrepreneurs, noting that government decisions often lack input from those who experience the realities of business first-hand. “If a policy is to be useful, it must be informed by lived experience. And if an enterprise is to thrive, it must be supported by a system that understands it,” he said.

The President acknowledged the resilience of Nigerian entrepreneurs, who navigate challenging conditions to sustain and grow their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to the nation’s economy. He stressed that the initiative is intended to be a continuous line of engagement, rather than a one-off event, allowing the government to listen, diagnose challenges, and respond with policies that deliver real impact.

“The establishment of the Renewed Hope Enterprise Bridge Initiative ensures that conversations between government and business operators are ongoing. This dialogue is designed to bring policymakers into the same room with those who live with the consequences of policy decisions,” Tinubu added.

The Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa, noted that Nigeria’s creative and digital economy sectors hold significant potential for entrepreneurship and foreign investment. She emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure and policy frameworks to boost investor confidence and expand opportunities for business growth.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship Development, Chalya Shagaya, said the initiative reflects the administration’s consistent support for entrepreneurs, who are central to driving innovation and national growth. She highlighted reforms aimed at easing regulatory compliance and improving access to finance through institutions like the Bank of Industry, particularly with a focus on inclusive participation.

Shagaya described the theme of the event, “Hustle Meets Policy,” as a recognition of the daily realities faced by entrepreneurs, including the risks, uncertainties, and perseverance required to build and sustain businesses. She said previous policy-making processes often failed to capture these realities, which the initiative seeks to address by fostering direct engagement.

The launch received acknowledgment for the roles played by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Chief of Staff, and the Deputy Chief of Staff, whose support helped bring the initiative to fruition. The administration views this platform as a step toward creating a more open, responsive, and collaborative business environment that empowers Nigerian entrepreneurs to thrive.

By creating a structured channel for ongoing dialogue, the Renewed Hope Enterprise Bridge Initiative is set to enhance understanding between government and business leaders, ensuring that policies are practical, responsive, and supportive of entrepreneurial growth. With this platform, the administration aims to align national economic goals with the realities and needs of those driving innovation and job creation in Nigeria.

The initiative marks a strategic step in building a business-friendly ecosystem where policies are informed by experience, and entrepreneurial contributions are recognized as vital to the nation’s development.
