The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) slip printing for candidates, the board announced on Thursday.

The move allows candidates to confirm their examination date, time, and venue ahead of the exam, scheduled to begin on April 16.

Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, said candidates can access their notification slips through the board’s official website. To print, candidates should click on the “2026 UTME Slip Printing” link and follow the instructions provided.

Benjamin advised that candidates print their slips early and visit their examination centers before the examination day. This, he said, would help avoid logistical challenges and ensure candidates are familiar with the location and environment of their test centers.

He emphasized that timely preparation is essential, particularly given the large number of candidates expected for the 2026 UTME. “Candidates are encouraged to print their slips and plan their travel to their centers to prevent any last-minute stress,” Benjamin said.

The board’s announcement follows months of registration for the 2026 UTME, which saw thousands of candidates across Nigeria registering online. JAMB continues to stress the importance of adhering to examination guidelines and schedules to maintain smooth conduct of the exams.

Candidates are also reminded to carry valid identification and follow all examination day protocols, including punctuality and adherence to the board’s regulations. Benjamin noted that any candidate who fails to print their slip or report to their assigned center on the scheduled date may face challenges in taking the exam.

JAMB has, in recent years, implemented measures to streamline the examination process, including digital registration, e-slips, and real-time information access for candidates. The board encourages candidates to make use of these tools to ensure a seamless examination experience.

The 2026 UTME slip printing marks a critical step for candidates as they prepare for the national examination that determines entry into tertiary institutions across Nigeria. By providing early access to slip information, JAMB aims to minimize confusion and improve efficiency on exam day, benefiting both candidates and examination staff.

Candidates who encounter issues with slip printing are advised to contact JAMB’s support centers or use the information provided on the official website for guidance.
