The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday formally presented Certificates of Return to returning and newly elected members of its National Working Committee (NWC) at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

The event, conducted by the APC National Convention Election Sub-Committee, confirmed the leadership team that will steer the party through upcoming political activities and internal governance.

Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda was confirmed as National Chairman, with Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori and Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye elected as Deputy National Chairmen for the North and South, respectively. Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru will serve as National Secretary, while regional vice chair positions were filled by Hon. Victor Giadom (South-South), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu (South-East), Isaac Kekemeke (South-West), Barr. Idris Shuaibu (North-East), Hon. Mu’azu Bawa Rijau (North-Central), and Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad (North-West).

Other key appointments include Prof. AbdulKarim Abubakar Kano as Deputy National Secretary, Murtala Aliyu Kankia as National Legal Adviser, Uguru Mathew Ofoke as National Treasurer, and Amb. Haruna Ginsau as National Financial Secretary. The National Organising Secretary role will be handled by Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu, with Donatus Enyinnah Nwankpa overseeing National Welfare, and Felix Morka as National Publicity Secretary.

The committee also appointed Sen. Abubakar Maikafi as National Auditor, Dr. Mary Alile-Idele as National Women Leader, Dayo Israel as National Youth Leader, and Aare Durotolu Oyebode Bankole as National Leader for Persons with Disabilities. Deputies in various offices and ex-officio members representing six geopolitical zones were also confirmed, completing the party’s leadership structure.

The presentation of Certificates of Return marks the official validation of the APC leadership, allowing them to commence work on party strategies ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle. Party officials emphasized unity, discipline, and the readiness of the committee to implement policies that strengthen APC’s national presence.

This development underscores APC’s structured approach to internal governance as it prepares for forthcoming elections and broader national political engagement.
