The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has honoured outstanding officers and marshals as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism, transparency, and ethical conduct within Nigeria’s road safety system.

At a ceremony held in Abuja, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, presented commendation letters and cash rewards to selected personnel drawn from operational commands across the country.
According to the FRSC boss, the awardees were recognised for their consistent demonstration of discipline, accountability, and professional excellence in the discharge of their duties.

“The gesture is part of a deliberate institutional framework to motivate personnel, strengthen public trust and reinforce the corps’ zero-tolerance stance on unethical conduct,” Mohammed stated.

He described integrity as a cornerstone of effective law enforcement and public safety administration, noting that the corps remains committed to promoting values that enhance its public image and operational efficiency.

“This recognition is a celebration of who we are as an organisation and what we stand for,” he added.

Mohammed further acknowledged the efforts of thousands of FRSC personnel nationwide who continue to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, courage, and a strong sense of duty, particularly in managing traffic and ensuring road safety across Nigeria’s highways.

“Today’s award highlights that enduring culture and serves as a reminder that integrity is both expected and appreciated,” he said.

He emphasised that the initiative goes beyond recognition, serving as a motivation for officers to remain committed to ethical standards and service excellence.

The FRSC leadership also reaffirmed its commitment to creating an enabling environment through effective leadership, incentives, and institutional support aimed at sustaining discipline and operational efficiency.

The corps reiterated its mandate to build a safer motoring environment while maintaining a workforce grounded in transparency, professionalism, and service to humanity across Nigeria’s transport network.
