The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has joined key stakeholders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja for the inauguration of the Board of Trustees and official launch of the National Community Food Bank Trust Fund.
The initiative, spearheaded by Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is aimed at tackling food insecurity and improving access to nutritious food for vulnerable populations across the country.
Details of the event were disclosed in a statement issued by the Zamfara First Lady’s spokesperson, Rabi Yusuf, and made available to journalists in Gusau, the state capital.
The launch of the Trust Fund marks a significant step in the federal government’s broader response to rising food challenges, with officials describing it as a strategic, community-driven intervention designed to provide sustainable food support nationwide.
