In a message on Monday, the President described the incident as a painful tragedy that has cast a shadow over the season, urging unity and compassion in difficult moments. He expressed solidarity with Joshua and his family as they cope with the emotional toll of the loss.
Tinubu praised Joshua’s courage, discipline, and unwavering love for Nigeria, noting that these qualities have made him a source of national pride beyond the boxing ring.
The President offered prayers for Joshua’s speedy recovery and asked God to grant eternal rest to the souls of the departed, while calling on Nigerians to support one another in shared humanity.
