Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara Reflects on Overcoming Impeachment Plot

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has recounted how his administration navigated a smooth start but was later rocked by a crisis triggered by an attempt to remove him from office.
During the inauguration of eight new High Court judges at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Fubara expressed gratitude to the judiciary for their resilience during the crisis. He noted that the reasons behind the turmoil are beginning to unfold.
Fubara likened the state’s experience to a seed that must die before germinating, emphasizing that challenges often precede growth. He expressed optimism that Rivers State is now at a stage of rebirth, with 90% of its issues poised for resolution.
