The “Oluremi @65 Education Fund,” established in celebration of the 65th birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has successfully raised a total of N25,520,708,074.35 (Twenty-Five Billion, Five Hundred and Twenty Million, Seven Hundred and Eight Thousand, Seventy-Four Naira, Thirty-Five Kobo) to support the construction of the National Library.

The First Lady extended her appreciation to Nigerians, family members, friends, and well-wishers who generously contributed to the initiative.

Created on 21st September 2025, the Oluremi @65 Education Fund was aimed at fostering educational development, promoting the preservation of knowledge, and contributing to national progress. Senator Tinubu described the overwhelming response as a testament to the collective commitment of Nigerians toward education and nation-building.

In a statement, the First Lady announced that the donation account for the fund will be officially closed on Wednesday, 31st December 2025. She assured contributors that the project will now be supervised by the Honorable Minister of Education and encouraged any further support to be channeled through the Ministry.

“The support received affirms our shared commitment to education, preservation of knowledge, and national development. I am deeply encouraged by the goodwill and unity this initiative has inspired,” Senator Tinubu said.
