Honourable Sam Onuigbo, Member representing the South East on the Governing Board of the South East Development Commission (NEDC), has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves the votes of all eligible Nigerians in the 2027 general elections, citing his administration’s strides in economic growth and national development.
Onuigbo made the remarks during his family thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Obuohia Obi-Ibere, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State. The former federal lawmaker praised the President’s policies and reforms, noting that they are laying a strong foundation for sustainable long-term progress in Nigeria.
“It is only wise for Nigerians to allow him to complete the good work he has started,” Onuigbo said, stressing that Tinubu has already set the country on a path of stability and growth. He expressed strong confidence in the President’s re-election, adding: “I have no doubt whatsoever that in 2027, Tinubu will be re-elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Onuigbo pointed to official statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics to support his endorsement, highlighting key economic indicators. He noted that food prices have been steadily decreasing, inflation has been brought under control, and the President has successfully unified foreign exchange rates, creating a more stable economic environment.
The NEDC board member also drew attention to improvements in the energy sector, particularly following the removal of the fuel subsidy. Onuigbo highlighted that fuel queues, which historically disrupted festive periods and daily life, are now largely a thing of the past, enhancing convenience for citizens and supporting economic activities nationwide.
He described these achievements as evidence of the administration’s commitment to reform and national development. Onuigbo argued that Tinubu’s leadership has strengthened confidence in the economy and created a conducive environment for business growth and social welfare.

Concluding his address, Onuigbo reiterated his belief that Nigerians should consolidate the gains made under the current administration and allow the President to continue implementing policies aimed at transforming the country. He urged citizens to recognize the positive changes in governance, economic management, and public service delivery achieved since Tinubu assumed office.
The endorsement adds to a growing chorus of supporters praising Tinubu’s early achievements in office, framing the discussion around economic performance and national progress as the 2027 elections approach.
