An Abuja-based nongovernmental organization on Wednesday accused the Action Democratic Party (ADC) of flouting multiple court orders by continuing to recognize former Senate President David Mark as its national chairman, a move that could jeopardize the party’s registration ahead of next year’s general election.
The Good Governance Group (GGG), warned that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) risks enabling the ADC’s internal discord if it fails to act on judicial directives.
The group called on INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan to strip recognition from Senator Mark, ex-Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, and other contested leaders, and to scrub their names from the commission’s website.
Several lawsuits are pending against the ADC over leadership disputes, heightening fears of de-registration.
The group warned that Politicians who are frolicking into the ADC are romancing illegality .
He called for Mallam Nadia Bala to be promptly recognized as the Chairman of ADC.
GGG has equally raised concerns on the patriotic character of the illegal chairman of the ADC Senator Mark- whose comments in past are not fit for an individual willing to lead a political party into an important electoral process like the 2026 general election.
