The Ebonyi State Governor has approved the payment of a ₦150,000 Christmas bonus for civil servants across the state as part of measures to ease the economic burden on workers during the festive season.
The governor made the announcement on Monday, saying the gesture was aimed at appreciating the dedication and resilience of the state workforce, particularly in the face of prevailing economic challenges. He noted that civil servants remain critical to the effective delivery of government policies and services at all levels.
According to the governor, the bonus will be paid to eligible workers in addition to their December salaries, with directives already issued to the relevant ministries and agencies to ensure prompt disbursement before Christmas.
