President Bola Tinubu will travel to Kebbi State on Saturday for a one-day official visit to inaugurate projects completed by Governor Nasir Idris, the State House has announced.
During the visit, the President is also scheduled to serve as special guest of honour at the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, one of Africa’s most prominent cultural celebrations.
The annual festival, held along the historic Matan Fada riverside, draws participants and visitors from across Nigeria and beyond. The site has been recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, underscoring its global cultural significance.
A statement issued Friday by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said the visit highlights the administration’s support for cultural preservation and state-led infrastructure development.
