Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the party best positioned to rescue Nigeria from what he described as the failures of the current government.
Atiku made the statement Thursday while joining the campaign of Dr. Moses Paul, the ADC chairmanship candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) ahead of the February 21 FCT Local Council elections.
Speaking on the campaign trail, Atiku praised Dr. Paul, popularly known as Dr. Mo, describing him as a candidate that “young people in Abuja can relate to and trust with the future of the Municipal Council.” He urged voters in AMAC and across the FCT to support all ADC candidates in the upcoming elections.

Atiku said, “ADC is undoubtedly the party that will salvage Nigeria, and the surest bet is to start with Dr Mo and AMAC.” He framed backing the ADC as a first step toward ending the perceived failures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
The former vice president’s endorsement highlights his continued influence in local politics and positions the ADC as a rising alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the FCT council polls.
