President Bola Tinubu has approved a fresh round of key appointments, naming new leadership for the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), and forwarding nominees to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) for Senate confirmation.

According to a State House press release on Tuesday, the President appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as Managing Director of SHESTCO, the Abuja-based research institution responsible for technology development and operation of a nuclear research facility.

Tinubu also named Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency. He will head a newly constituted NEMSA board.

Other members of the NEMSA board include Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical); Ikechi Clara Nwosu as Chairman representing the South East; Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris as member; Igba Elizabeth representing the North Central; Sani Alhaji Shehu representing the North East; Adeyemi Adetunji representing the South West; Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe representing the South South; and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa representing the South East.

The President further nominated Amina Gamawa of Bauchi State and Abdullahi Muktar of Kaduna State as commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission. Their names have been transmitted to the Senate for confirmation.

The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on February 10, 2026.
