In a display of romance that has left social media buzzing, Nigeria’s premier media personality and Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, has once again raised the bar for celebrity husbands.
To celebrate a milestone tenth wedding anniversary, the style icon took his wife, Cynthia, on a breathtaking getaway to Italy, culminating in a surprise re-proposal on the sacred grounds of Vatican City.
The couple, who officially tied the knot on February 6, 2016, chose the historic and spiritual heart of Rome to commemorate a decade of companionship.
The anniversary celebration began with a solemn mass at the iconic St. Peter’s Basilica. However, the highlight of the day came shortly after the service when Ebuka, known for his poise and sophistication, dropped to one knee against the backdrop of the stunning Roman architecture.
In a moment captured by onlookers and shared with fans online, Ebuka presented Cynthia with a new, sparkling ring, a symbolic gesture of his renewed commitment as they transition into their second decade of marriage.
The surprise re-proposal was met with cheers from passersby and warm embraces from the couple, who appeared as smitten as they were on their wedding day ten years ago.

Taking to his Instagram page to share the news, Ebuka expressed his gratitude for the journey they have shared. “Exactly 10 years married on February 6, and we spent the most amazing day in Rome and Vatican City,” he wrote.
He humorously added that while one person in the relationship got a surprise re-proposal on holy grounds, they both felt immensely blessed to mark the occasion in such a significant way.
The romantic gesture was further solidified with a rare and prestigious gift: an official 10th-anniversary certificate from the Pope, recognizing their union.
The couple capped off the emotional day with an intimate dinner at their favorite Roman restaurant before beginning what Ebuka described as a much-needed vacation.
Ebuka and Cynthia’s love story has long been a favorite among Nigerians. The media personality famously revealed in the past that they met on Twitter and that he knew he wanted to marry her just two months into their friendship.
Ten years, two children, and numerous career milestones later, the duo remains one of the most stable and admired couples in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
