The Nigerian Army has dismantled several suspected kidnapping hideouts in Edo State, arresting 13 suspected criminals during coordinated operations aimed at curbing insecurity in the region.

According to military sources, the operation followed credible intelligence on the movement of armed groups operating along major highways and forest corridors within the state. Troops reportedly stormed multiple locations, recovering weapons, communication devices and other incriminating materials.

The Army said the suspects were apprehended without civilian casualties, noting that the raids were part of sustained efforts to flush out criminal elements terrorising residents and travellers.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects may be linked to recent abductions and armed robberies across parts of Edo and neighbouring states.
