The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has condemned the recent attacks on schools and religious centres across the country, describing those behind them as enemies of Nigeria.

Uzodimma said members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) remain united in supporting President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to address the security challenges confronting the nation.

Speaking in Abuja during the inauguration of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the governor stated that both the Federal and State Governments will not be discouraged by individuals attempting to distract or discredit the Tinubu administration through sponsored attacks on innocent citizens.

The event brought together state and zonal coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in a meeting aimed at reviewing and promoting the achievements of the current administration.

After a three-hour closed-door session, Uzodimma reaffirmed the commitment of APC governors to stand firm against those fueling insecurity, emphasizing the importance of consistently advancing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

As part of the inauguration activities, vehicles were presented to the coordinators to enhance their mobilization and outreach efforts across the country.

The governor further urged political leaders at all levels to prioritize unity and national interest above partisan considerations, noting that insecurity thrives in environments where political actors exploit national challenges for personal gain.

He emphasized that defeating insurgents and criminal networks requires a collective resolve anchored on credible intelligence sharing and community engagement.

Uzodimma also called on citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies, stressing that combating insecurity is a shared responsibility. He expressed optimism that with sustained support for government initiatives, Nigeria will overcome its present challenges and return to a path of lasting peace and development.
