President Bola Tinubu has called on young Nigerians to draw inspiration from the life and leadership of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, as he commended the author of Buhari’s newly launched biography for preserving the nation’s collective memory with honesty and depth.
Speaking at the book presentation, Tinubu praised the author for carefully documenting facts and testimonies without oversimplifying Buhari’s life, describing the work as a valuable contribution to Nigeria’s historical record. He said the biography offers future generations an opportunity to understand leadership beyond slogans and soundbites.
The President expressed hope that the book would circulate widely across the country, finding its way into classrooms, libraries and the personal study spaces of young Nigerians who are shaping their ideas about leadership and public service.
Addressing the late former president directly, Tinubu said Buhari’s influence continues to endure despite his passing, adding that the most meaningful way to honour his memory is through tangible results delivered with discipline, compassion and resolve.
He assured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to building on Buhari’s legacy, not merely by invoking his name but by upholding the values of service and responsibility associated with his leadership.
