Vice President Kashim Shettima has congratulated Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Senator Hope Uzodimma, on his 67th birthday, praising his leadership style and contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Imo State, and national development.
In a goodwill message on Saturday, the Vice President described Governor Uzodimma as a committed servant of Nigeria whose progressive leadership continues to inspire confidence and unity within the ruling party. He said Uzodimma’s role as PGF Chairman has been instrumental in galvanising APC governors around a shared vision aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Shettima noted that the milestone age of 67 reflects the governor’s journey in public service and sets the stage for even greater contributions ahead. According to him, Uzodimma has consistently demonstrated the capacity to unite party leaders and advance collective action toward national growth and stability.
He also commended the Imo governor’s performance at the state level, citing his strategic governance approach, infrastructural development efforts, and commitment to improving the welfare of the people as hallmarks of progressive leadership needed at this critical period in Nigeria’s history.
The Vice President further described Uzodimma’s recent appointment by President Tinubu as a Renewed Hope Ambassador as a deserved recognition of his loyalty, dedication, and ability to effectively champion the administration’s reform agenda across the country.
“Your appointment reflects the President’s confidence in your leadership and your proven capacity to articulate and promote the transformative objectives of the Renewed Hope mandate,” Shettima said, adding that the honour underscores Uzodimma’s standing as a key pillar within the APC and the current administration.
He stressed that Uzodimma’s influence extends beyond Imo State, noting that his leadership within the PGF has helped strengthen cooperation among APC governors and reinforce party cohesion in support of national priorities.
Shettima concluded by offering prayers for the governor, asking God to grant him continued wisdom, good health, and strength to sustain his service to Imo State and the nation.
Governor Uzodimma, a former senator, currently serves as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, the umbrella body of APC governors, and plays a central role in coordinating policy alignment between states governed by the party and the Federal Government.
