The Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria (RHAN) has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s sweeping security interventions as a defining moment in Nigeria’s battle against terrorism, banditry, and other violent crimes.
In a statement signed by the organization’s National Publicity Secretary, Prince Femi Muyideen Adewale, the group described recent breakthroughs across northern states as clear evidence that the President’s strategic reforms are delivering tangible results.
According to the statement, RHAN’s Director General, Comrade Haruna Sardauna, commended President Tinubu for prioritizing national security above all other commitments, including major international engagements.
Sardauna highlighted the President’s decision to cancel his planned participation at the G20 Summit in South Africa as a remarkable act of leadership, emphasizing that “putting the safety of Nigerians first” has reignited public confidence in the country’s security architecture.
Sardauna attributed the rescue of 38 abducted worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, to the President’s renewed focus on operational coordination and rapid-response strategies. He noted that the successful recovery of 51 kidnapped students in Niger State further demonstrates that security agencies are gaining the upper hand. “These victories are powerful messages that terrorism and banditry are being dismantled piece by piece,” the statement read.
The organization also applauded the President’s swift directive for federal intervention in the case of the abducted Kebbi girls. This decisive action, according to RHAN, led to the deployment of a specialised team headed by the Minister of State for Defence, reflecting what the group described as “the type of responsive leadership Nigerians have prayed for.”
Sardauna praised the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, and other security units for their professionalism and renewed synergy. RHAN credited the improved inter-agency coordination to the strategic leadership of National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, saying his role has enhanced collaboration and reduced operational gaps that previously hindered success.
Among the most significant reforms acknowledged in the statement was President Tinubu’s directive ordering the withdrawal of police officers from VIP protection duties. RHAN described the decision as a “groundbreaking correction to an old imbalance,” noting that thousands of officers will now return to core policing responsibilities in communities nationwide.
The group said the policy will particularly strengthen security in rural and semi-urban areas where police presence has long been inadequate. It added that VIPs who require escorts will now rely on the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, allowing the police to focus strictly on crime prevention and enforcement.
In addition, RHAN lauded the President for approving the recruitment of 30,000 new police officers, calling it a critical step toward rebuilding Nigeria’s overstretched security structure. Sardauna said the expanded manpower will boost rapid-response capacity, widen surveillance coverage, and restore citizens’ trust in law enforcement.
The group also welcomed the partnership between the federal government and state governments aimed at upgrading police training facilities nationwide. According to the statement, these improvements will produce a more professional, disciplined, and technologically equipped police force capable of confronting modern security challenges.

RHAN highlighted the President’s recent high-level security meeting with service chiefs, Inspector General of Police, and the Director-General of the DSS as further proof of his hands-on approach to governance. The organization said the gathering demonstrated the President’s commitment to direct oversight and real-time assessment of security operations.
The statement noted that the President’s recent national address, in which he reaffirmed that “every Nigerian has a right to safety,” has resonated deeply across northern communities. RHAN said the message has provided reassurance to regions long troubled by criminal networks that the federal government is firmly committed to restoring peace.
Calling for broader citizen participation, the group urged Nigerians to support security agencies by providing actionable intelligence to aid ongoing operations. RHAN expressed confidence that with sustained reforms, Nigeria will experience sharp declines in criminal activities before the 2027 general elections.
In its conclusion, RHAN reaffirmed its full support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that the administration’s bold security decisions have rekindled optimism about national stability. The organization pledged to continue mobilizing Nigerian youth to support peace-building initiatives, strengthen national unity, and promote the shared goal of a safer and more prosperous country.
