Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been released on bail after spending a week in detention over alleged misconduct.
The artist was granted bail after meeting conditions set by authorities, following his arrest in connection with a dispute that reportedly escalated into a public disturbance.
Sources close to the case say Portable’s legal team worked behind the scenes to secure his release, arguing that the matter was civil in nature and could be resolved amicably.
Following his release, the singer took to social media to thank fans for their support, while urging critics to allow due process to take its course.
