I am already at the venue of the 2025 Imo Economic Summit, proudly sponsored by the Imo State Government.
The summit, themed “Unlocking Imo’s Economic Potential: Partnership, Investment and Innovation,” is scheduled to hold from today, Thursday, December 4 to Friday, December 5, 2025, at Concorde Boulevard, Opposite Concorde Hotel, Owerri.
Former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon will headline the event.
Also expected are an impressive lineup of global and national business leaders, including the immediate past President of Afreximbank Professor Benedict Oramah; Chairman of the Cubana Group Obinna Iyiegbu; former CNN anchor Isha Sesay; Group MD/CEO of Zenith Bank Dame Adaora Umeoji; the Director-General of the Nigerian Council of Arts and Culture Obi Asika, among others.
The host governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma, had said that Imo State is open for business. “We are encouraged by the interest shown by leading international and local brands in the progress we have made in Imo State.
The summit will serve as a platform for participants to connect and explore the economic opportunities in the Eastern Heartland. Our doors to economic prosperity are open, and I look forward to welcoming everyone attending the summit,” he said.
See you there.
