The Games, scheduled for November 26 to December 4 at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, will bring together athletes, officials, and dignitaries from across West Africa for the first multi-sport Para competition of its kind.

At the forefront of the international delegation is Mr. Samson Deen, President of the African Paralympic Committee (AfPC), whose expected presence at the opening ceremony underscores Africa’s growing commitment to strengthening opportunities for Para athletes.

His involvement further signals continental support for the development of structured pathways that elevate the performance and visibility of persons with disabilities in competitive sports.

He noted that Nigeria is determined to set a new benchmark in hosting standards, ensuring athletes and officials experience world-class organization, security, and hospitality.

Odebode emphasized that the Games reflect a shared ambition among West African nations to deepen cooperation and advance Para sports beyond national borders.
