Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has threatened to sue her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and others for accusing her of using hard drugs. The actress made the announcement in a video posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday, accompanied by laboratory test results from a California hospital.
According to the test results, Daniels tested negative for all hard drugs and is only associated with ecstasy, commonly known as molly. The actress stressed that the accusations were false and aimed at tarnishing her reputation.
In the video, Daniels addressed her followers, saying: “Hi everyone, it’s Regina Daniels. I don’t believe that I will sit in front of this camera again trying to clear up an accusation that was sent to destroy me. It’s a new year, and with it came a moment of clarity. I realised that there are certain narratives I can no longer allow to linger over my name as a public figure.”
She added that the allegations were not only damaging to her career but also harmful to her children. “Taking this test is not about clearing my name, it is about giving a strong, and confident voice to those who believe in me. And above all, to give my children something priceless—pride—that when they grow up, they will know that their mother was never a drug addict,” Daniels said.

The actress categorically denied ever using any hard drugs or substances fabricated online, emphasizing that the only drug she had any association with was ecstasy. She warned that legal action would be taken against those spreading false information about her. “I will sue, I will definitely sue at the appropriate time,” she stated, reiterating her intent to hold accountable anyone attempting to damage her personal and professional reputation.
Daniels’ clarification comes nearly three months after her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, publicly accused her of drug use, sparking widespread speculation and social media debates. The actress’ statement and the accompanying laboratory evidence aim to counter the narrative and reassure her fans, colleagues, and supporters of her innocence.
The incident underscores the challenges faced by public figures in managing personal disputes in the age of social media, where unverified claims can quickly go viral and affect reputations. Daniels’ proactive disclosure seeks not only to defend her name but also to serve as a precedent for accountability in the entertainment industry.
Regina Daniels remains a prominent figure in Nollywood, known for her acting career and high-profile personal life. Her response to the allegations highlights her determination to protect her brand, her family, and her integrity amid ongoing scrutiny.
With the legal threat now public, attention will focus on the next steps from both Daniels and the parties involved in the accusations, as fans and industry watchers await developments in the dispute.
